🕊️ The 3-Minute Midnight Reset

🕊️ Pause & Pray — The 3-Minute Midnight Reset

When to use: Those 2 a.m. moments when your chest is tight, thoughts won’t stop, or guilt tries to rehearse old stories.

1) Pause (30–45 sec)
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Inhale 4, hold 2, exhale 6.
On the breath say: Inhale: “Jesus, You are here.” Exhale: “I am held.”

2) Scripture (30 sec)
Read slowly—out loud if you can:

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

3) Pray (45–60 sec)
“Lord, You see me in this night. I release the worries I can’t carry and the guilt that isn’t from You. Cover my mind with Your peace, steady my body with Your presence, and restore my soul for tomorrow’s mercies. Amen.”

4) Reframe (30 sec)
Whisper: “This is anxiety, not danger. I am safe. God is near.”
If a specific regret surfaces, name one gentle repair for tomorrow (call, boundary, or apology), then say: “That belongs to morning grace.”

5) Tiny Step (30 sec)

Place a verse card (Psalm 23 or Romans 8:1) on your nightstand.

Take three slower exhales than inhales.

Set the intention: “I will return to rest.”

Caregiver note: If you spent your day carrying others, pray:
“Jesus, I return to You what I carried for ________. Hold them as I rest.”

Optional journal line (keep bedside):
“Tonight I’m entrusting _______ to You, Lord.”

You are not your midnight thoughts. You are loved, safe, and being gently rewired for peace—body and soul.
